Inter-regional Conference " Gathering Priorities for Digital Governance and Digital Transformation"

On May 29-30, the Inter-regional Conference " Gathering Priorities for Digital Governance and Digital Transformation" will be held in Almaty, featuring experts and representatives from government bodies of across the Asia-Pacific region, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

The conference will feature the presentation of a large-scale regional project funded by the Government of the Republic of Korea, aimed at developing digital governments in twelve countries across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Asia-Pacific region. This three-year project is implemented by the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH) and UNDP in Kazakhstan in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of the Republic of Korea. It is noteworthy that this project is a continuation of a previous initiative successfully carried out from 2021 to 2023, serving as a foundation for the new phase with an expanded geographic scope.

The goal of the Almaty Conference is to identify priority areas in digital transformation and governance for these countries and to plan future activities for 2024–2026, including workshops, research, and study visits.

During the conference, leading experts from the Republic of Korea will present their experiences in digital transformation, covering strategies, innovations, and legislative aspects. Participants from other countries will share their own experiences and knowledge in building digital governments.
